Our company is a global logistics provider and currently has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, focused Operations Senior Operations Co-ordinator / Supervisor to join the team.

To support the high demand for our services, we are currently seeking the services of an experienced freight forwarding operations supervisor to join our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Operations supervisor will oversee all activity of the operations department in our company. You will observe and analyze the overall efficacy of the department and ensure things are moving smoothly.
They also report their findings to upper management as needed.
You will be handling all aspects of Freight Forwarding for all our loyal client base.
You will arrange both Imports & Exports, and be the main senior contact for each of our clients.
There will be a strong focus on training for Trainees in the company and therefore you will require exposure to Freight Forwarding with strong knowledge of A-Z of both Imports and Exports. You will bring a willingness to learn and a positive attitude - our Owner will teach the rest! Ideally, you would have strong experience and EDI Cargowise exposure.
You will be working within a small team that every member works in the same capacity. All staff within the team have a long tenure with the business, therefore possess the knowledge and experience to provide further 'on the job' training.
This is a critical role based on the customer service/freight forwarding operations team where you will be accountable for:
Arrange collection and delivery of our client's cargo.
Execute operational tasks booking job orders, handling daily imports, exports, customs clearance and deliveries.
Create, maintain and complete job shipment files in Cargowise.
Create, maintain and complete all relevant paperwork (shipment requests, SWBs, AWBs, security receipts, pre-alerts, etc).
Coordinate shipments with relevant local and international vendors.
Input accurate shipment costs and revenue information in to relevant systems.
Billing / Invoicing client accurately and efficiently
Maintain clients and vendors relationships ensuring security and service expectations are preserved.
Monitor and keep clients updated with shipment status and exceptions.
Provide assistance and resolve customer complaints regarding service issues in a timely manner.
General administration duties.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Local Freight forwarding operational background and understanding
EDI Cargowise experience
Excellent written and oral communication
Strong customer service & operational capabilities
Ability to multi-task and prioritise / re-prioritise as required
Solid team player, with an attitude towards learning and progression
