Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) continue to be in contact with DP World senior management in terms of thy latest  information on the Protected Industrial Action (PIA) impacting their container terminals nationally.

DP World have outlined advice received from the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) division of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union (CFMMEU) in terms of work bans and stoppages associated with the PIA for the period Monday 29 January to Saturday 10 February 2024.

DP World Australia have today released notice via 1-Stop of the withdrawal of the following PIA : 

Sydney
Issue: TUESDAY 30/01/24 OPERATIONS – PIA CONDITIONS WITHDRAWN
Short Description: 
Tuesday 30/01/24 R & D operations will be as normal from 0600hrs until 0600hrs Wednesday 31/01/24.

Sydney
Issue: WEDNESDAY 31/01/24 OPERATIONS – PIA CONDITIONS WITHDRAWN
Short Description: 
Wednesday R & D operations by be as normal from 0600hrs until 0600hrs Thursday 01/02/24.


Brisbane
Issue: PIA suspended for 24 hours Tuesday 30/01 07:00 – Wednesday 31/01 07:00.
Short Description: -
Please be advised that CMMFEU Protected Industrial Action is suspended for 24 hours as of tomorrow morning, Tuesday 30/01 from 07:00 to Wednesday morning 31/01 07:00.

Issue: PROTECTED INDUSTRIAL ACTION UPDATE - TUESDAY 30/01
Short Description: 
Please be advised that PIA has been lifted for Tuesday 30/01 and there will no 2hr stoppages as previously advised.

Fremantle
Issue: PROTECTED INDUSTRIAL ACTION UPDATE - WEDNESDAY 31/01
Short Description: 
Please be advised that PIA has been lifted for Wednesday 31/01 and there will be no 2hr stoppages as previously advised.

Whilst the withdrawal of these listed bans for Tuesday 30 January & Wednesday 31 January is a positive development, all other listed bans and stoppages announced earlier still remain as per the above list.
